I remembered when i was in primary school, there was once that i got full marks for spelling and close to full marks for a semesteral paper. My teacher gave very positive comments and I was overwhelmed with pride. i thought to myself that i have fully mastered English. I looked at everything around me, and began identifying them using English, like, "plates", "fan",... and so on.

I looked around the room and i told my filipino maid, "Ana! I can name everything in Engrish! What else is there to learn about Engrish?"

I couldn't believe how ignorant i was back then. At a tender age i thought i knew everything.

How i wish i could hit the button and turn back time.

And return to innocence.
